The unit will be using the framework of Read It Once, Read It Twice, Read It Once Again curriculum because this is the curriculum that the children are familiar with as it serves as the foundation and pattern for their learning.
The Unit "Big Idea": The home in which children live has many different rooms and functions. In those different rooms, there are many different skills that children need to have for example, in the bathroom they must know what it is used for, how to function in the bathroom i.e. use the toilet, wash hands in the sink, wash themselves in the bathtub etc. It is important for children to learn the rooms in a house and what to do in each room because they are part of a child's primary environment and surroundings.
